Round #2 Superstock FIM Cup 20 April 2015

Assen - April 20th 2015
The perfect weekend. A triumph for Lorenzo Savadori and New M2 Aprilia Racing Team at the second round of the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup around the curves of the famous TT Circuit of the Netherlands known as the "University of Motorcycling". The rider of the Aprilia RSV4-RF was able to monopolize the whole weekend between the tulips: pole position, fastest lap, top step of the podium and leadership in the overall Championship standing. From number one spot on the grid Savadori started as a missile at the green light. Upon completion of the first round a nasty fall in full straight of Tamburini (BMW) leaded to the interruption of the race for the red flag. At race re-start Sava#32 maintained high concentration and gained under control victory of a nine laps shortened race.
Lorenzo commented proudly: "Since the beginning of the weekend we perceived the possibility of hitting a major achievement through an intensive development for which I thank the New M2 Racing Team and Aprilia. Moto was perfect and a found immediately the best race pace. I am very happy for this first victory of the season that I am willing to share with all my staff work. In winter, a lot has changed in the entourage of people following me closely, they are doing a great job all the away from the limelight. Thanks to the sponsors of course, to my family and to the fans that I have literally flooded with incitement through the new official website portal savadorilorenzo.com ".
The success of Assen projects Savadori atop the overall standing of the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup with 45 points, followed by De Rosa (33 p.), Jezek (27 p.), Coghlan (26 p.) and Tamburini (25 p.). Other FALCO racers in the race where Bryan Staring (8th), Jeremy Guarnoni (9th) and Matthieu Lussiana (DNS). Next meeting to mark in the agenda will be at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari of Imola (Italy), a few miles from rider's home, on next May 10th.
